Installation

Sonomos is available on Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-Ons.

Chrome

1. Visit the Sonomos Chrome Web Store listing.
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Confirm the permissions prompt.
4. The Sonomos shield icon appears in your toolbar — you’re ready.

Edge

1. Visit the Sonomos Edge Add-On Store listing.
2. Click Get.
3. Confirm the permissions prompt.
4. The Sonomos shield icon appears in your toolbar.

Other Chromium

1. Download the latest release from the Chrome Web Store or contact support.
2. Navigate to your browser’s extensions page.
3. Enable Developer mode.
4. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder.

Permissions

Sonomos requests broad host permissions to scan page content across all sites. No data is transmitted externally — this permission is required solely for local on-page detection. See the Permissions Reference for full details.

System requirements

• Any Chromium-based browser (Chrome 110+, Edge 110+, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi)
• Modern hardware recommended for optimal AI model performance
• Approximately 50MB storage for bundled detection models
